Consulting Director, Production / Post-Production Resources

Writer, rider and a dreamer I started off as a trainee reporter with a local daily in year 1999. Why? Just because I could read & write and I thought it’s better to write commercially than just writing. Struggled really hard, but was molded into a better writer and a better media professional.

Soon realized that to give a push to my career I need more skills than what I had, so saved money and moved to Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi to learn the nuances of Broadcast journalism where words replaced visuals in my writings.

Soon after finishing my course I got what I was aiming at, and joined Zee News, New Delhi as Trainee in programming team. Never knew that here I am going to unlearn majority of all that which I had gathered during my stint with Newspaper & the learning was much faster than expected & since then learning & unlearning is almost a habit. Small team, big goals and bigger risks, learnt the art of investigations, Sting/spy cam operations, Pre-production, Post-production, teamwork & creative battles. Just when I was getting bored with one sting operation every week, I got a chance to work with Channel 7. Learnt and lived the process of the launch of a television channel and in the television channel (well almost) before deciding to explore bigger responsibility and hence moved to India TV.

Worked with India TV handling crime Shows, entertainment shows, national crime head, the band in charge, specials events for 2 years before realizing that the job is interesting but I need to learn the business side of the channel as well for greater responsibilities. Hence moved to Voice of India as senior manager-Strategy, Planning and New Media. As the channel was in the launch phase, established many departments, hired and trained teams, established processes and systems along with learning new tactics of business. It was a mad rush and I thoroughly enjoyed what I did.

The joy of working in challenging situations & learning environment moved me so much that I took another chance and joined RBNL as Regional Programming Head to become a 360* media professional, its here commercial Radio came in my life by chance and here I enjoyed the replacement of Visuals with sound in my writings.

With TV TODAY Group (India's one of the largest Media conglomerate) I enjoyed the mad hours of working as Programming Head for radio vertical, I led the network here for all music and film contracts and tie ups along with my core responsibilities and worked very closely on synergy with various media platforms , It is here I got chance to dive in digital world and now I am trying to graduate from a tadpole to toad.

A writer in me is still active and recently a commercial film" Muavza" written by me ( screenplay and dialogues ) got released and presently I am writing next film along with collaboration on web series for different production houses.
